  • The slow pace of the video and mood ties in with the chosen audio track.
  • Non-diegetic sounds were used to drown out the panic of all the actors and so much anarchy has taken place, a lost leg, fallen horse, stuck train etc
  • The use of non-diegetic sounds were used in order to drown out the panic/manic of all the situations taking place, such as: A lost leg, Fallen horse, Stuck train and pure pain.

Dead Man's Shoe Scene Analysis

In lesson, we watched a 3-minute clip of dead man’s shoe, and straight away we see a lot of confrontation. We learn that there is something about to arise from what took place in what looks briefly looked like a mental hospital though it could also be a wreck centre as there was a Snooker table. As it starts off, it seems very grey and bright at the same time. During the time in this hall a man in a green jacket is seen staring at a dodgy male in a beanie. It seems that they must have been either betting or dealing, as we see an exchange of money take place between two men. As the clip progresses the male in the beanie confront the man in the green jacket in a vulgar manor. We now learn that these men are in fact British, we learn this from their accent. The man in the green jacket replies twice as vulgar, supposedly scaring of the man who confronted him. At 50 seconds, we see the same man in the green jacket standing outside with his friend as we watch on a small car flies ...

This may be because of the way the set is arranged, from the lighting to props. The fast pace of the video shows the happiness flowing through their veins. The umbrellas convey romance, portraying the true bond they all share.

FOCUS GROUP SESSIONS

FOCUS GROUP WORK             Working with Nabil We decided to go along the path of action/thriller/horror movies, as we were both very into this type of genre. Our main target audience would be males, due to the fact that majority of males prefer these genres compared to romance movies. We then proceeded to look at examples online, to gather ideas and inspiration to create our own thriller/ action. YouTube- AS A grade movies. Looking around on the Internet we came across various movie openings made by various other students around the world, and grasped a better understanding of what it was that we are meant to do. Analysing the openings we also were able to achieve/brainstorm most of what we plan to do for our own movie.
